#1191
This
is one of the most beautiful vintage passenger
steamer models I have seen. "Fanny Cadwalader"
was part of the New York and Baltimore Transportation
Line. The model appears to be from the 1860s
or 70s and is in incredible condition having
been under a glass dome, probably forever.
She was recently purchased from a Philadelphia
estate and appears to be completely original.
She is single screw and has a single smokestack
for what would have been a steam engine.
She
would have carried both passengers and freight
between New York and Baltimore and points
in between. She is painted in wonderful
Victorian era colors, which are original.
The model measures 17"long and 12" high.
The dome is 20" long and 18" high.
